A Smart Member of a Smart Team
Following IB’s commitment to creating advanced technology and its drive to push for developments in the maritime sector, it was a natural progression to team with other major players in the maritime sector through joining the Smart Maritime Network (SMN).
Giampiero Soncini, who attended the first SMN Council Member in London, enthusiastically stated: “I’ve been working with Rob O’Dwyer for so many years and I can honestly say that he’s an expert in this field so I’m sure that this new project will be successful! The marine industry is mature enough to receive new insights from parallel fields like logistics, ports and supply chain. My feeling is that such new adventures will bring all of us to new horizons. The alliances that the SMN is forging are a clear sign of how important it is to inform and educate each other on technological developments and innovations”.
IB is looking forward to collaborating with other members on designing a more sustainable and prosperous tomorrow. The very first conference will be in Athens on the 9th of May and will be a great occasion for relationship building, business development and knowledge sharing.
The goal of the Smart Maritime Network (SMN) is to provide a platform to promote the benefits of enhanced integration and data sharing among stakeholders within the maritime and transport logistics sectors.
